Over this time we have built a powerful knowledge base of do’s and don’ts in plastics, especially with PEEK OPTIMA®. Machining dry requires the proper speeds and feeds and tool design/selection to not only make a good part, but to ensure that burrs are kept to a minimum and your machine finish is as good as possible.
Experience goes a long way too
Machining your parts is the first step, but deburring can still pose a risk to parts for the untrained. Hoosier has dedicated PEEK OPTIMA® deburr specialist that understand how to eliminate burrs and verify burr free under a minimum of 10x of magnification.

TraceabilityIt all starts with traceability. Our lot control process is rock solid with every inch of material being tracked. Work in Process (WIP) as well as your locked and secured inventory can be analyzed via inventory reports anytime.
Dry Machining Cells
Air cooled by deionized air only, no coolant is used when working with PEEK OPTIMA®.
High Throughput Deburring
Microblasting and a unique high throughput deburr chamber ensure the fastest throughput.
Cell Manufacturing
Hoosier’s cell based manufacturing has dedicated, QC inspectors, deburr, pin install and final cleaning for all PEEK OPTIMA® projects.
Laser Marking
We laser mark in house so your implants don’t have to leave our building.
