A Few Words About Us
"There's something about a company founded by a mom."After 15 years with a manufacturer of component parts - a company where she had risen from secretary to vice-president and ended up with 25% of the firm's stock - Lana Scott-Whaley wasn't happy with starting just any old company, she wanted it to be the best. Her passion for excellence and her ambition to be the best was infectious, so much so that her husband David Whaley left a secure job with the California Institute of the Arts, took a mortgage out on their home, and launched their dream. With chins high and smiles wide, they turned on the lights at HOOSIER on May 1, 1979 - a 4,000 square foot facility with few a pieces of equipment and a handful of clients.
Thirty years later, the second generation is hard at work keeping Lana and David’s dream alive in a 63,000 square foot complex fully equipped with high-tech in-house fabrication and manufacturing capability. The dream has grown into one of the most respected specialty parts manufacturers in the United States. A successful family owned, family run business is unlike any other. There's an intrinsic quality about the management style and company dynamics that's nearly impossible to duplicate. We've come a long way since 1979 and we still approach our business the same way that Lana and David did. "Give our customers the best product at a great price, and they'll likely be back for more." It's the Hoosier way.

Service is Our Business

"Your implants just gave us our first successful surgery and the patient is doing fine,” a statement we have heard many times from our customers. We take our manufacturing very seriously. The parts we manufacture can mean the difference between life and death and we take that to heart. Many of our very own family members and friends have had the implants that we have manufactured placed into their bodies. You can’t afford mistakes and recognizing that every part we make could affect our family, we can’t either.
To sustain the expectations that come from ISO 13485 certification and FDA registration, we measure success in the smallest detail. Our name stands for accomplishments, not compromises – our goal is to exceed your expectations. We’re a genuine family owned and family managed American business tradition.
We have been working on our good reputation for 30 years – we’d be glad to add your company to our story.
Just give us the opportunity.
"We Will."
